Bluebird Books is a literary-themed mobile project space housed in a converted short bus – part bookshop, part art house, it's a vehicle where readers of all ages can explore the written word.

Donation-based sales of gently-used books, locally designed artist books, handmade notebooks and ephemera support our pending non-profit arm, created to organize cultural events such as play readings, book-art exhibits, poetry readings and bookmaking workshops for the community at large.

Bluebird Books is now accepting donations of gently-used books in most genres, with a particular interest in:

  • Art, film and photography
  • Children's and young adult titles
  • Design and architecture
  • Culturally significant fiction and poetry
  • Counterculture and feminist literature
  • Exceptional cookbooks
  • Unusual nonfiction

Pending acceptance of our 501(c)3 application, your book donations will be tax-deductible.

Due to our limited space, some books may not be chosen for display or sale. Textbooks and books "For Dummies" are among those we must politely decline. Unused books from our inventory are in turn donated to Tampa Bay area charities.
