1st recruitment of 2013!

Tuesday, January 8th is going to be our informational meet and greet.  Here, you'll get information regarding our training program and what to expect while going through it.  You'll be able to meet potential recruits as well as some of our skaters, and get info regarding necessary gear as well. (8pm -10pm United Skates of America | 5121 North Armenia Avenue | Tampa, FL 33603)
 
Saturday, January 19th is our recruitment bootcamp.  We'll be taking potential recruits through the exact skills they'll be evaluated on during tryouts in February.  You will absolutely need your own mouth guard in order to participate in this event, and there is a small fee of $10 as well.  If you have any other protective gear (skateboarding/hockey helmet, knee pads, elbow pads, and wrist guards) and/or quad skates, please bring them.  It'd be smart to bring a bottle of water, and to wear comfortable clothing, as you'll be gearing up in order to participate :) jeans are not recommended. Tryouts will be on Monday, February 4th.  Please plan to be at the rink (Skateplex | 5313 East Busch Blvd | Tampa, FL 33617) at 8pm to make sure we have all your paperwork and that you are geared up and ready for tryouts when they begin at 8.30.  Again, you will absolutely need your own mouth guard for tryouts, and bring any other gear you have with you.  Bring a bottle of water, too :)

I will help with this as well. I want to help walk Truck and Mara through all this. I have the program finished already and I am working on figuring out how to get it all printed out. I have the bootcamp skills sheet ready to go as well. I am going over a key points spreadsheet to help ensure we dont miss any information.

Packets will need to be printed, yes, but they need to be updated first.  Let me contact Anne and see what info about the rec league she wanted included

I also have free black and white printing if needed. That is not binding or anything though, but that could be done by hand.

potential recruits who need to borrow skates must email me - stellaknockout@gmail.com - and let me know their shoe size.  without an email from them, we won't know they need skates, and we won't have skates for them to borrow!
